BirdLife Mackay invites you to join them for Eungella Bird Week 2021.
Now in its fifth year, Eungella Bird Week is both a guided birding and data collection activity to continue to monitor the status of the endemic Eungella Honeyeater.
There are nine spots to count some 100 local bird species and play a vital role in protecting the Eungella Honeyeater. Led by expert guides, you can participate in organised activities, and extra optional activities will also be available. Visit us for a day or stay the whole week!

Eungella is located on the Clarke Range, approximately 65 km west of Mackay in Central Queensland. The areas is important as it supports the only known population of Eungella Honeyeaters as well as many other rare and threatened bird species. The diversity of habitats from open woodlands to highland rainforest will astound you and present an birdwatching and bushwalking experience like no other.
