About the event
Join us for a morning of birding at two sites, followed by an optional pub lunch.
Site 1: Bramston Beach Area, Tower Road rainforest. Meet around the corner of Bramston Beach Road and Tower Access Rd at 7:30 am. We will carpool from there if necessary. This site involves a slow walk uphill at one of our local favourite bird monitoring sites.
Site 2: Eubenangee Swamp National Park. Meet at around 9:30 am for morning tea at the car park of Eubenangee Swamp National Park next to the Alice River on Cartwright Road. BYO morning tea. From here we will walk through the lowland rainforest along the river, before climbing the grassy hill for sweeping views across the wetlands.
For those interested in staying and socialising, we will then proceed to the nearby historic Garradunga Pub for lunch, at your own expense. The pub offers a simple lunch menu served under shade in the beer garden allowing for social distancing.
